Last week was a bit of a doozy! It started well! Play time, wagon rides, splash pad fun, etc….but by the end of the week, Squish was sick and we were all a little tired. He came down with his first serious sore throat and a fever on Thursday. His strep test was negative so we chalked it up to a summer virus. In reality, Squish does not get sick often. He's never been on antibiotics, has had two 24 hours fevers and that's about it in his entire 2.5 years so I'd consider us lucky…but this virus had him down for the count for a couple days. Luckily Tylenol kept the fever under control but the sore throat led to some pretty epic tears, one major meltdown while out to dinner and a couple long days. Luckily he's on the mend, although the sore throat seems to be lingering.

The good news is Mimi and Grandpa come tomorrow so we're ready to have some fun with them! Little Miss has had a pretty good week actually. She's started sleeping in her crib in her own room and for the past several days she's been sleeping from about 9-3:30 which means this mom has gotten more than 3 hours straight of sleep for the first time in almost 8 months. Hallelujah! PLUS we've even had some successful morning naps in the crib for her, which has given me some one on one time with Squish! Squish napping in his big boy bed are still a bit troublesome but we're working on it!

Have a great week!

Enjoy!
